Top tips for planning a successful party

Everyone wants their big party to be a raging success with your guests talking about it for months afterwards. As a specialist photobooth company, we attend parties for a living so we’ve been lucky enough to attend some unique and exciting events. With these in mind, here are some top tips for planning a successful party and giving your function a winning formula!

Top tip #1

Choose a venue you love and make sure they are happy to plan your function with you. Make sure that your guests are kept entertained throughout the evening. The best parties we’ve been to involve fun and laughter, rather than guests sitting around tables, twiddling their thumbs.  Getting people out of their chairs is a must! Try to plan engaging and sociable activities which everyone can enjoy at some point throughout your function. Examples are casino tables and singing waiters who provide fun and entertainment at various points of the night.

Top tip #2

Provide your guests with unique mementos or party favours from your function. Send them away with a souvenir to remind them of how much fun and laughter they experienced at your party, as your guests.  This will make your party a memorable talking point after the event and give your guests fond memories of a fantastic function. Photobooths are great for this as a reputable company will personalise your photographs with your choice of message to remind your guests of your party.

Top tip #3

Be original! Think about the range of guests who will be attending your party. A great band who will interact with the audience always works well to get people involved. However, not everyone likes to dance, so you really do need to consider alternative, interactive forms of entertainment for them.  Different activities, which appeal to all age groups from the youngest members of the party to the oldies, will always go down a treat and could be the secret to a successful party! Examples are caricature artists or magicians who can work with small groups at your party.
